BCDP Distributes Scholastic Materials to Orphans and Vulnerable Children

Building Community Development Programme (BCDP) continues to support orphaned and vulnerable children by providing essential scholastic materials including exercise books, pens and pencils. Many of the children we serve come from poverty-stricken families who struggle to afford even the most basic learning materials.

BCDP operates a Nursery and Primary School in Bududa where we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn in a safe, supportive and inspiring environment regardless of their family background or financial situation.

Despite the progress made, many children still attend school without adequate scholastic materials, school uniforms, shoes or even a daily meal. These challenges greatly affect school attendance, concentration and academic performance.

To continue improving the quality of education, BCDP is seeking support to provide classroom desks, quality teaching materials such as textbooks and exercise books, a water tank to provide clean drinking water, teacher support, improved classrooms and daily meals for vulnerable learners.

Healthy children learn better. That is why BCDP invests in both education and healthcare through its school programmes and the construction of a community hospital. Together, these initiatives ensure children grow up healthy, educated and prepared for a brighter future.

You can help transform a child's future by supporting any of the following needs:

• One classroom desk: UGX 50,000 • Scholastic kit for one child (books, pens and pencils): UGX 20,000 • School meal: UGX 2,500 per child per day (approximately UGX 187,500 per school term) • School uniform (shirt/blouse and skirt/trousers): UGX 40,000 per child • Pair of school shoes: UGX 25,000 per child • Water storage tank: UGX 2,000,000 • Teacher support, classroom improvement and teaching materials of any value are also greatly appreciated.

Every contribution, regardless of size, helps a child remain in school, receive quality education and build hope for a better future. Together we can ensure that no child is denied an education simply because they cannot afford the basic requirements for learning.
